Supervised Visitation Program

The Family Reconnection Center (FRC) was established in 1992 to provide supervised visits for children in foster care with their biological parents.  Since its inception, the FRC has become the largest visitation program in Chicago, expanding its client base from 27 to over 400 families per year.

Passages' largest clientele base comes from the Il. Dept. of Chil & and Fam Srvcs.   Services provided to DCFS include scheduling visits, monitoring and reporting of parent-child and sibling visits, providing transportation to and from visits for children and facilitating positive and appropriate parent-child interactions to improve parent-child relationships.  Visitation monitoring staff are trained paraprofessionals who are supervised by a licensed professional.

Over the years Passages’ FRC has served thousands of families and assisted in providing positive outcomes for at-risk children and families.

Passages also have contracts with other private social services agencies to provide visitation and transportation services and is actively seeking clients who need these services.  For more information, contact Dorothy McNutt (312) 225-3800, ext. 13.
